Can I earn some money by playing to Shadow Depths?
Yes. Each resource (FUSIUM, ACTIUM, MINIUM, CONSTRUCTIUM) has its own value. These tokens can be traded for USDT on several platforms. Additionally, NBM NFTs are very valuable assets worth between $0.10 to $1000.
What is a 'season'?
A season is a period of time during which players can compete against each other. At the end of the season, many rewards get distributed amongst the players who took part in the event. The higher a player's ranking, the more rewards they will receive. However, playing the game itself is enough to earn money, even if one's final ranking is not excellent.
What happens at the end of the season?
As described in the SEASONSsection, when a season ends:
It is not possible to start expeditions anymore.
Players have 2 days to clean their Shadow Depths inventory (sell items, mint back NFTs, craft the last energy cells, etc.).
After 2 days, the Shadow Depths inventory is wiped out, the clone is reset to level 1, and all ship modules are reset to level 1.
Players keep all the tokens mined and all the NFTs (Land, equipment, Energy cells, etc.) present in their wallet.
IF YOU HAVE ALLOCATED SOME NFTs DURING THE SEASON, DON'T FORGET TO MINT THEM BACK, OR THEY WILL BE CONSIDERED AS IN-GAME ITEMS AND WIPED OUT!
What happens if I buy a pass after the start of the season?
Shadow Depths passes are retroactive, meaning that players don't lose their progress and can claim all the rewards they initially missed by not having the pass. For instance, if a player plays for free and completes 25 tasks, they will only be able to claim the free rewards. If this player decides to buy the Shadow Depths pass, they can then claim all the rewards for tasks 1-25 and continue with their progress.
How do I increase my mission progress ?
There is an elevator every 10 levels which can be used to start the next mission. So going on a 10 level missions duration allows each clone to progress faster.
Why does my mission keeps aborting?
Check your evacuation settings to see if one of them is triggering the premature exit. You might also need to repair your equipment. Equipment in critical condition is one of the main reason for the mission being ended prematurely.
Why is my clone not gaining any experience?
If the difference between the level of your clone and its enemy is too high (more than 10 level difference), your clone will not gain any experience. Make sure to fight enemies that are similar in level to your clone.
I see people earning a lot of experience while I am getting nothing, how do they do?
Shadow Depths is a strategic game. The best players are those who understood how the game works. A few reminders: each mine contains unique monsters with various attributes. If you are fighting monsters with a level way below the level of your clone, you will not earn any experience. Conversely, fighting stronger monsters having a level above your clone's level will be more rewarding. As described in the Exploration section, you can go as deep as you want in one mine and every 20 levels, monsters will become stronger. So, carefully choose the mine/depth in which you want to train. Additionally, the use of consumables greatly helps one's progression. Finally, do not forget that clones get their experience at the end of the exploration. My main gear is not working, why?
Make sure you have activated the option to leave the cave when your equipment is in a critical state. If this option is enabled and your gears at not working, the gear is too damaged to be used.
This generally happens when a fight lasted too long, and the durability of your gear became too low. For example:
You initiate a fight with a weapon having 60/500 durability. The weapon still has more than 10% durability remaining.
You attack 40 times. Thus, your weapon is losing 40 points of durability (as mentioned in the section Fight and stats, you lose 1 point of durability every time you attack).
At this stage, your weapon now has 20/500 durability.
You lose the fight. Thus, your weapon loses 5% of its maximum durability. Since you started the fight with a weapon having a maximum durability of 500, your weapon loses 25 points of durability (5% of 500).
Since your weapon was at 20/500 durability, it is now at -5/500 durability.
The weapon is at 0 durability and it becomes useless.
To prevent this scenario, make sure that the maximum durability of your gear doesn't go too low.
I am dismantling the same items and I am not receiving the same amount of tokens. Why?
As mentioned in the Repair / dismantle / destroy equipment section, the amount of objects/tokens that a player receives depends on his rank (Corporate Leader rank). A Crewman (Level 1) will only receive 1% of the resources he should have normally received. Sergeant Major (Level 10) receive 100%, Multiverse Ultimate Leader (Level 40) recieve 140%.
Is it better to repair once my equipment is badly damaged or to repair a piece of equipment more often?
This doesn't change anything as it affects the maximal durability in the same way. In the first case, the max. durability will be greatly reduced at once while in the second case, the max. durability will be progressively reduced. But in the end, the outcome is the same.
How deep can a cave go?
So far, no bottom was found and it looks like every mine is endless. But every 20 levels, all the monsters gain +1 level.
I can not complete a task when I have all the ingredients required. Why?
Be sure that all the materials are in your warehouse. One common mistake is to keep some of the required materials into the clone's backpack. Also, be sure that your materials are not on sale on the Shadow Depths Market. As long as an material is listed on the Market, it can not be used.
Why do I need to confirm my account in Shadow Depths? Is it free?
As our game evolves and offers more rewards and more developed gameplay, we need to ensure that any entity sending a request via an account is indeed the rightful owner of that account. This simple action greatly improves the security of the game. The process is free and only requires the user to validate a transaction that doesn't go into the blockchain but validates the wallet signature.
