In NBM Shadow Depths, players can participate in unique events called "Seasons". Entering a season is free, and anyone with an NBM account can play.
Although the fundamental concept of the game remains the same from season to season, each season has its own set of rules, and it's up to each player to discover them in order to maximize their profits.
Additionally, for each season, players have the option to purchase an NBM Season Pass, which is an NFT granting unique in-game privileges including more rewards, perks, and modules like the following :
Extra Class : Gain access to three new clone : Sniper, Berserker and Miner !
Double Rewards : Receive 2x more tokens (+100%) when you sell items.
Full Sell Price : Get full price (100%!) when you sell items (no need to reach specific ranks).
Damage reduction : Reduce damage to equipment when the clone has to recover (3% instead of 5%).
+200% token stack : Stack twice more tokens in your backpack during mission (200% tokens per stack).
Advanced Ship : Start with several modules already level 2 (molecular printer, warehouse, and more!), and 3 safe pockets slots.
Mission Flexibility : Allows your clone to perform 100 levels / 500 levels missions.
Unique Modules : Gain access to unique ship modules such as the Alchemy Lab and the Transponder to facilitate your expeditions !
Exclusive BONUS : Receive additional bonuses for upcoming seasons.
Season pass are retroactive: any player who starts playing the game for free and decides to buy the pass later during the season does not lose their progress. They can also retroactively claim all the rewards they would have normally received if they had purchased the pass before the start of the season.
In-game rewards, obtained with or without the pass, can be claimed by completing a predetermined number of tasks. Without a pass, rewards can be claimed every 6 tasks completed. With a pass, rewards can be claimed every 3 tasks completed.
From this tasks line, Pass holder will have access to so called WAX checkpoints. Those Wax come from a WAX pool shared between all checkpoints. The system is design the offer the full WAX amount to the first player claiming them. Every claim empty the WAX pool and influence its corresponding checkpoint.
For instance, a player being first to claim the 11 WAX checkpoint will get 11 WAX, the 100th player will get less corresponding to his claim position and the current WAX Pool status.
Additionally, during the season, 70% of the money collected via standard pass sales will be used to consolidate the main leaderboard rewards at the end of the season.
Finally, 70% of the money collected through equipment sales (Pilot/Scout/Equipment packs) will further more top up the leaderboard rewards pools.
As you can see, the system is dynamic : more sales = more season rewards.
At the end of the season, the clones naturally die according to the Human Advanced Cloning, and their ships and inventories are dismantled for decontamination. This step means that every player's inventory and ship are wiped out and prepared for the next season, where players will start with a clone level 1 and a ship equipped with brand new modules.
However, the players keep all the NFTs (Energy cells, Equipment, NFTs, etc.) present in their wallet, along with all the resources they mined during the season.
This logic ensures that the game remains competitive for new players joining. However, each corporate leader gets a few days between the end of the season and the inventory wipeout to take care of their items.
The WAXP earned during the season are automatically deposited into each player's wallet. They will be base on your Leaderboard positions and the different Pools of rewards allocated to each one of them. there is currently 4 pools of rewards :

Anyone can buy more than one pass. Each extra pass can be blended into one Shadow Depths booster (2%, 50% chance; 3%, 50% chance), 10 x 10M WAXP VolumeNFTs, and a chance to get a Construction pack GEN1 or GEN2 (15% chance).
Each pass grants a small advantage for the next season. For instance, anyone who purchased a pass for the first season of Shadow Depths will start with a clone level 2 for the next 2 seasons. Check the details on the table bellow.

85% of the money collected through the pre-sale will determine the rewards distributed for the main leaderboard (56% of the amount), Pass Wax Rewards aka (20%), the top 50 leaderboard (8% of the amount), and the Guardians leaderboard (2x8% for each guardian).
