# Special events

Another option to collect materials is to participate in NBM special events, mostly organized on the [NBM Official Discord](https://discord.gg/nftbattleminers). During these events, the team distributes [unique NFTs ](/nbm-shadow-depths/overview/nft-battle-miners-official-wiki/iv-nbm-nfts/nft-assets/alchemy-materials-nfts.md)that players can give to the Alchemist in exchange for a random material. To use these cards, players can use the 'BLEND NFT TO MATERIALS' function located in the Alchemy Lab.

This blending process is accessible to players holding a rank of 3 (PRIVATE FIRST CLASS) and is restricted to claiming a discovered material of a specific rarity only if the user has unearthed at least 3 materials belonging to that rarity.
