PHYSICAL RULES FOR ARCADIAN MINING

From maintenance to riots, this section of the wiki will cover the different physical limitations that need to be considered when sending a mining operation.
From the left tab to the right tab, when sending an operation, the player encounters the following physical limitations:
For each operation, reaching the mining site takes 20 minutes. Coming back to the space station also takes 20 minutes. During this time, the operation is not mining; it is simply traveling between two points, the space station and the mining site.
Once the units reached the mining site, the first 2 mining rounds (hour 1 and two are less profitable).
During the first hour, the miners will mostly spend their time preparing their tools, getting organized, and starting the heavy equipment. The operation will only produce 50% of the resources it is supposed to generate.
During the second hour, the miners will finish the installation of their setup. They will be more efficient than during the first hour, but they will not yet operate at full capacity. The operation will produce 75% of the resources it is supposed to generate.
After the second hour, the operation will be fully operational, and it will work at maximal capacity.
Since units are performing intense mining through hard surfaces, every hour, each unit gets slightly damaged and can lose its mining efficiency. The maintenance adheres to the following logic:
Each unit, land and construction has a given durability between 100% and 0%
The durability of every asset is found on the left side of the card:
If the durability of an asset decreases, it affects its mining capacity. For instance, if a unit has a RESM of 15 and is at 60% durability, its RESM will be at 6 (60% of 15) until it is repaired.
Higher rarity units (i.e., Legendary, Ultimate) are more resistant than lower rarity units (i.e., Common, Rare). Every hour, units lose the following amount of durability: COMMON: 0.9%, RARE: 0.85%, EPIC: 0.8%, LEGENDARY: 0.75%, ULTIMATE: 0.7%
If the mining operation consists of more than 3 units, then the hourly damage on units is increased by 12.5% for every extra unit in the setup, as units can easily impair and collide with each other. (e.g., 4 units setup: COMMON: 1.01%, RARE: 0.96%, EPIC: 0.9%, LEGENDARY: 0.84%, ULTIMATE: 0.79%
Therefore, it is up to each Corporate Leader to regularly verify the status of each operation to ensure that the durability of each unit doesn't fall too low.
Corporate leaders have several options to repair their units (see next tab).
Repairing operations allows to replenish the durability of every asset within the mining rig and ensure that each operation functions at its maximal potential.
Corporate Leaders, can choose to either repair in their space station or on-site. Both of these approach have their pros and cons.
In the space station: This approach is the cheapest, but it requires recalling the mining operation. This implies a 20-minute travel to go back to the station, then a 20-minute travel to return to the mining site, and 2 hours of installation as described in the installation tab.
On-site (AUTO-REPAIR): This approach allows miners to use the resources that are in the player's wallet to repair themselves directly on-site. Units cannot use the resources they extracted during the current mission, as those are raw resources and not yet decontaminated and refined. This option is the fastest, but it is 20% more expensive than the 'in space station' repair. It also requires an extra 20% cost in FUSIUM.
To allow this option, the player must enable the AUTO-REPAIR option for the given mining operations.
For each asset, the formula to calculate the hourly maintenance cost in the space station is defined as follows:
LAND: 0.5 MINIUM x LAND SIZE x DAMAGE (%) x Lr CONSTRUCTION: 1 CONSTRUCTIUM x CONSTRUCTION SIZE x DAMAGE (%) x Cr ACTIVE CARD: (ENERGY x DAMAGE (%) x Ar)/ 100 ACTIUM
With: Lr = Land rarity multiplier ; C: 0.25, R: 2.56, E: 7.29, L: 10.24, U: 14.44 Cr = Construction rarity multiplier ; C: 0.25, R: 2.56, E: 7.29, L: 10.24, U: 14.44 Ar = Active rarity multiplier ; C: 0.25, R: 2.56, E: 9.00, L: 16.00, U: 25.00
In case of on-site repair, the hourly price is 20% more expensive, and it also requires an additional 20% of the final amount in FUSIUM as an extra cost.
In the beginning of January 2071, a small strike appeared on Ventus where miners were contesting the working hours. Some miners complained that they had been mining for more than 4 months straight without any break. On the 21st of February 2071, the strike that originally started on Ventus became global and affected every mining activity in Arcadia. Miners started to quit their mining sites and returned to their space stations without the approval of the Corporate Leader. For more than 6 hours, over 97.6% of the Arcadian mining operations were not functional.
When Corporate Leaders noticed this issue, they gathered on the NBM Discord to try to find a solution. Under the guidance of the Arcadian Council, the unanimous vote for the Arcadian Rebellion Act, a measure preventing workers from working for an unlimited amount of time with a choice to leave their post after 48 hours of straight mining.
The events that took place in-game and on Discord allowed the NBM team to introduce a new feature called the Arcadian Rebellion Act. In addition to the maintenance aspect, this mechanic ensures that every player pays attention to their mining rigs. The logic adheres to the following rules:
After 48 hours of straight mining, the miners inside an operation can decide to stop working and go back to their space station. This event is called 'a revolt'.
The probability of revolt for each operation increases by 1% every hour after 48 hours. This percentage is cumulative (e.g., 49 hours of straight mining: 1% chance of revolt per hour; 50 hours of straight mining: 2% chance of revolt per hour; 51 hours: 3% per hour, and so on).
Each operation is independent. Some operations will revolt earlier than others.
When a revolt happens, the mining operation returns to the space station (20 minutes travel) and deposits all the resources collected into the player's wallet (the operation stops, but the player doesn't lose the resources mined by the given operation).
Having a higher Corporate Rank allows workers to work longer and go beyond this initial limitation of 48 hours.
