Mission settings allows each Corporate Leader to chose i) how its clone should behave during a mission, ii) how long the clone should explore and iii) the actions that the clone should take when placed in particular situations. Learn bellow all you need to know about each settings:
Mission settings panel
The difficulty section allows each player to choose how their clone should behave during a mission. Each mode influences the drop rates and the chance to encounter other clones, along with the level duration. Currently, three difficulties are available:
Difficulty setting options
STEALTH: This option instructs the clone to remain as discreet as possible during its exploration. Hence, the clone will encounter fewer enemies, and it will subsequently find fewer items (30% DROP RATES). Actively avoiding enemies also forces the clone to take longer paths to go around monsters, and if not possible, wait for them to pass. Thus, completing each level will take more time (200% LEVEL DURATION).
NORMAL: This option gives some freedom to the clone and lets it operate without specific instructions. The clone won't actively look for monsters, nor will it try to avoid them actively. Thereby, the DROP RATES and LEVEL DURATION using this mode are standard (100%).
HUNTER: This option instructs the clone to actively look for enemies. Since the clone will be seeking monsters, the number of hostile encounters will be greatly increased compared to the other two modes, leading to higher DROP RATES (200%). Additionally, each level will be shorter since the clone will not take any detours to avoid monsters (85% LEVEL DURATION). However, it is important to be aware that fights usually damage the equipment, and intensive battles can force the clone to hide to recover, etc.
Finally, these three modes also influence the probability of encountering other players and the likelihood of winning/losing ingredients/equipment:
Stealth: 1% DROP RATES
Normal: 5% DROP RATES
Hunt: 30% DROP RATES
Below the difficulty section, each player can choose how long the clone should explore a particular cave. Currently, five different durations are available, ranging from 1 level to 500 levels:
Duration setting options
1 LEVEL: 130% DROP CHANCE
5 LEVELS: 115% DROP CHANCE
10 LEVELS: 100% DROP CHANCE
50 LEVELS: 95% DROP CHANCE
100 LEVELS: 95% DROP CHANCE (unlocked with season pass)
200 LEVELS: 90% DROP CHANCE
500 LEVELS: 90% DROP CHANCE (unlocked with season pass)
The duration of each mission directly influences the probability of finding items. When starting a mission, each clone is in great shape with maximal vigilance and attention. The longer the mission, the more fatigue accumulates, and the less vigilant the clone becomes.
It is up to each Corporate Leader to choose one of the five-seven durations and combine it with specific difficulties to create custom-made explorations.
Evacuation settings offers additional instructions that can be given to the clone to terminate his explorations earlier or in certain circumstances.
Evacuation settings options
If a clone evacuates prematurely during a mission, it will only receive 50% of the experience it would normally receive if it had completed the mission.
Tactical positioning determine how your clone will manage its range towards enemies.
Tactical positioning options
STAY AT RANGE : With this option set, the clone will not try to come closer to enemies but stay at range. If the clone hold a sniper range 4 and a melee weapon range 1, it will start the fight at range 4 and hit from this range with its range weapon as long as the monster doesn't try to come closer to him. In case of surprise attack, clone will use its range weapon giving him a chance to start the combat at its weapon range.
ENGAGE MELEE : The clone will try to come closer to enemies each turns. If the clone hold a sniper range 4 and a melee weapon range 1, it will start the fight at range 4 but come 1 range closer every turn to eventually reach range 1 and start to hit with his melee weapon. In case of surprise attack, clone will use its melee weapon giving him a chance to start the combat at range 1.
The range determine which weapon is being used to HIT enemies. Clones will hit with melee weapons at range 1 while hit with range weapons at range 2+. If the clone does only hold a melee weapon for example, it will have to come closer every turn until reaching range 1 to start dealing damage to its enemy.
Collect define what you clone should be chasing for. By default your clone will try to collect everything it find in caves included Tokens and Materials. There might be use cases when you don't want to collect them.
Collect options
During its exploration, your clone might encounter other clones and depending on this options, it might act toward them differently.
Interaction with other clones options
Those options are made to provide a various range of gameplays to the players. There is no good or bad option, all depend what your goals are at specific moment. You might want to team up with some other players in order to progress easier and faster or want to play aggressive and increase your potential yield by stealing items from other clones.
Hiding mode is the perfect mode if you want to limit clone's interaction. Increase it even further by upgrading Electromagntic Jammer. The exact and final spot change will be display on the mission dashboard.
Check the PVP section to learn more about clones PVP interactions.
As you explore the mines depths, you will likely want to protect some valuable stuff your clone brought there or have collected on the floor or during fights. Those options will dictate how your clone is going to prioritize which items deserve the most to be protected.
Safe pockets options
By default, the safe pocket is active and your clone will store items in there if there is room available. As long as there is room, it will keep adding what he has found and depending of the above setting, prioritize to collect equipment over materials or the other way around.
Few things you need to know :
If your safe pocket is not full, your clone will keep adding material until it gets full
If your safe pocket is full
The clone will compare the item rarity and automatically store the rarer
Otherwise the clone will store the newly collected materials into its backpack instead
If a material has not reach his stack limit, the clone can continue add more on the corresponding stack (e.g. 1 green mold stack is in safe pocket, clone can stack 4 more units if you stack limit is 5)
Those settings will exclusively appears for the players having activated a season pass. Players will have to upgrade the Teleportation Transponder SHIP module in order to make the teleport of materials and equipment possible.
Teleport setting options
By default, any season pass holder will have access to the first setting which automatically teleport Tokens from your backpack into your warehouse every time your clone complete 10 level during its mission.
This is very helpful as the backpack size is limited. Therefore it allows clones to gather more ressources without having to leave its mission to clear their backpacks out.
Once ready, you can click on 'START MISSION,' and your clone will automatically explore the cave you have selected. You can follow your clone's exploration in real time using the 'MISSION PROGRESS' dashboard.
