Anyone can mine on Aperta. Mining requires players to place active cards on the grid. Every hour, each miner can extract NBM Resources, Materials, Partnership NFTs, and even WAXP. The logic behind each of these aspects is developed in the following table.
The resource mining on Aperta follows a simple set of rules.
Every hour:
Each plot is allocated one random resource (FUSIUM, ACTIUM, MINIUM, CONSTRUCTIUM).
Each plot is independent. One plot can receive FUSIUM, while the next one receives CONSTRUCTIUM.
Every hour, each unit extracts its RESM value in resources, and the resource extracted corresponds to the resource allocated to the plot.
For instance, if a unit has a RESM of 2 and is located on a plot that received FUSIUM, it will extract 2 units of FUSIUM.
Some cells are randomly selected, and miners placed on them can extract either 3, 7, or 15 times their RESM (instead of 1 time):
Each biome (e.g. Volcano) generally contains at least 5 different materials.
The land plots belonging to the same biome (e.g., Large Forest J1, J2, J3, K1, K2, K3, etc.) all contain the same materials.
It is up to each player to strategically position their units on the map to discover as many materials as possible.
Common units cannot discover materials.
To discover materials, a unit must be rare or above.
A unit can discover materials with a rarity between common and its own rarity. For instance, legendary units can discover common, rare, epic, and legendary materials while rare units can only discover common and rare materials.
NBM is constantly collaborating with other projects to extend its network and strengthen its community. Partner projects typically offer bundles of NFTs to the NBM team, which distributes them to NBM players using, among other methods, the Apertian region.
Therefore, when players place units on the Apertian region, they have a small chance of mining partnership NFTs. This mining relies on several rules:
As long as partners are providing NFTs to the NBM team and the partner pool is not empty, NFTs will be distributed to random players.
Partner NFTs are distributed at least twice a day (if the Partner pool is not empty)
When a partnership NFT is ready to be distributed, the sum of the NFTM of all the units on the grid is calculated. Then, the sum of the NFTM of all units for each player is calculated. For a given player, the probability of receiving one of the 2 NFTs is then equal to:
Sum of the NFTM for a player / Sum of the NFTM for all players
For instance: If a player has 4 units placed on the grid with the following NFTM: 2, 4, 5, 0, his total NFTM is equal to 11 (2 + 4 + 5+0). If the total NFTM of all units on the grid is 100, then the player has an 11% chance of receiving one partner asset (11/100).
The NBM team can use the Apertian region to also distribute WAXP to its players. These WAXP are generally collected through charitable events or given to players as extra rewards. This function is only active when the NBM Mining WAX Pool is not empty.
WAXP is distributed in the same way as partnership NFTs:
A given amount of WAXP is allocated.
The total sum of the RESM value of all units placed on Aperta is calculated.
The sum of the RESM of all units for each player is calculated. The ratio of the sum of RESM for a player to the total RESM of all players is used to calculate the portion of the pool that each player receives.
Thereby, it is possible to mine several types of rewards on the grid.
-Do not forget to regularly replace your units to extract as many materials as you can!
-Do not forget to check the achievement section on the NBM website.
-Great rewards await you if you level up your units and place them on the grid.
-Do not forget that common units do not mine materials.
-A good strategy is generally to place your spare units on the grid. Keep the best ones for your mining operations!
